What Is Vanguard Athletics?
Vanguard Athletics (VA) is an Internet based profiling service designed to provide quality exposure for high school athletes presently participating at the varsity level; recent high school graduates who participated in varsity athletics; college scholarship athletes who are looking to transfer from one school to another; and seventh and eighth grade athletes who are athletically gifted or who possess special physical attributes (height, weight, speed, etc.).
How do high school athletes benefit from VA's service?
VA specializes in providing EXPOSURE for male and female high school athletes in each of the sports listed below. Let's face it, many outstanding athletes, for a variety of reasons will remain in relative obscurity during their high school career. Such obscurity may be the result of a number of factors including: attending a small school; lack of media coverage; or even a losing team record.
Whatever the reason, the lack of exposure can diminish one's opportunity to receive an athletic scholarship. VA improves a high school athlete's chances of being seen by a college recruiter.

No. There is absolutely no charge to provide us with your own website link.
If an athlete wishes to create a website link to a particular URL (i.e. to display a video of him/her in action or to highlight other achievements) Simply provide us with the link on the online application. This URL is also subject to being approved by VA and will be randomly monitored.
Is this service available to underclassmen (freshmen, sophomores, juniors)?
Yes. However, all high school athletes registering with VA must be participating at the VARSITY LEVEL in their respective sport. Also, the statistics provided to VA must reflect their participation at the VARSITY LEVEL. These statistics will be randomly verified.

Absolutely. Multi-sport athletes are encouraged to register for as many sports as they choose provided that they participate at the VARSITY LEVEL in those sports.

The information submitted will not be posted until VA receives a signed verification form and is satisfied that the information is legitimate. Further, VA has posted written warnings throughout this site informing athletes that any athlete who intentionally submits false and/or misleading information will be permanently banned from the site.
